Flying Box Aerotech builds self-organising communication networks out of drones, satellites, public networks and ground stations. They go where the towers are not: geographically awkward country, underserved regions, and places where the fixed infrastructure has just stopped working.

Technology Architecture

The network coordinates itself between aircraft and base stations. Our own flight control and network management software works out where the coverage and the bandwidth need to be, and moves them while the mission is running.

The architecture does not care whose hardware it is talking to, so it can sit on top of what is already there or stand up on its own.

Drone-Based Mobile Base Stations

Drones equipped with communication payloads serve as airborne relays, rapidly establishing LAN coverage across mission zones or disaster-struck regions.

Multi-Network Integration

Satellite, terrestrial and self-organised links run together, so losing one does not take the coverage with it.

Ground Station Synergy

Stationary or mobile ground units support drone operations, offer data relay, and ensure system-wide coordination.

Rapid Redeployment

A network node is an aircraft, so coverage moves when the mission moves. Nodes can be repositioned within a flight rather than a construction schedule, which is the difference between a temporary mast and a mobile one.
